Scope

This document specifies the basic requirements, environmental and hygiene requirements, safety requirements, component requirements, assembly requirements, and test methods for low-temperature medical cold storage facilities.
This document is applicable to non-walk-in, indoor-installed cold storage facilities with mechanical refrigeration, a nominal volume of no more than 300 m3, used for storing medical samples, biological preparations, and biological specimens (hereinafter referred to as low-temperature medical cold storage facilities). Low-temperature cold storage facilities for storing other special goods may refer to this document for implementation.
This document is not applicable to low-temperature medical cold storage facilities equipped with automated storage and retrieval devices inside the storage area.
