Scope

This standard specifies the qualitative and quantitative testing of amphetamine (AMP), methamphetamine (MA), methylenedioxymethamphetamine (3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine, MDMA), phenmetrazine (3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine, MDA), and N,N-dimethylamphetamine (N,N-DMA) in suspected drugs by capillary electrophoresis (CE) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).
This standard applies to the qualitative and quantitative testing of AMP, MA, MDMA, and MDA in solid samples (crystals, powders, tablets, etc.) by CE, and the qualitative testing of AMP, MA, MDMA, MDA, and N,N-DMA crystals by FTIR.
