Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, labels, packaging markings, and user manuals for medical carbon dioxide incubators (hereinafter referred to as "incubators"). This standard applies to medical carbon dioxide incubators used for culturing human-derived samples such as biological cells, tissues, and bacteria in clinical testing. The incubator covered by this standard has a maximum cultivation temperature of 55 °C, a minimum temperature of 3 °C to 5 °C above the ambient temperature, a carbon dioxide concentration control range of 0% to 20%, and an internal volume of 100 L to 300 L.
