Scope
This standard specifies the method of determining the washing power of surfactants by conducting stain removal tests with artificial stained cloth and evaluating the results using a grey card rating system. This standard is applicable to the determination of the washing power of anionic and nonionic surfactants used in industry, and it can also be used to determine the washing power of certain cationic, amphoteric, and compound surfactants.
