Scope
Scope: This document specifies the selection and preparation of land, seedling transplantation, field management, harvesting and processing, packaging, storage, and transportation of Astragalus in understory cultivation. This standard applies to the ecological cultivation process of Astragalus understory; Main technical content: 3.1 Astragalus is the dried root of the legume plant Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch. ) Bge. var. mongholicus (Bge. ) Hsiao or Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch. ) Bge. . 3.2 Forest-medicine intercropping utilizes the understory space to cultivate traditional Chinese medicines. It can be used in economic forests, timber forests, and young forests with sufficient sunlight. It is suitable for intercropping with a variety of medicinal materials, but after the forest becomes dense, the sunlight in the forest becomes weaker, so it is advisable to intercrop with species that are tolerant of shaded conditions. Ecological cultivation or wild-simulation cultivation methods can be adopted. 3.3 Ecological cultivation refers to the cultivation of traditional Chinese medicines in a relatively stable ecosystem formed by human intervention, such as already closed-canopy artificial forests, while maintaining the ecological functions of forests and grasslands. Chemical pesticides and fertilizers are prohibited, and ecological principles and modern technologies are applied to cultivate green and high-quality traditional Chinese medicines. 4 Site selection and preparation 4.1 The soil in the understory space should be deep, loose, and well-ventilated, with a slightly acidic sandy texture. 4.2 Land preparation: Generally, the land is plowed in autumn, with a plowing depth of 30-45 cm and the application of sufficient base fertilizer (1000-3000 kg of organic fertilizer per mu); spring plowing is also possible, but attention should be paid to soil moisture retention. 5 Seedling transplantation 5.1 Seedling grading: Root diameter (cm); root stem length (cm); compr
