Scope

This standard specifies the design and construction of pneumatic splitting and vacuum pre-pressure reinforcement technologies for soft ground foundations.
This standard is applicable to the reinforcement of saturated clay foundations such as silt, silty soil, and alluvial soil. For silt, silty soil, organic soil, and peat soil with a plasticity index greater than 25 and a moisture content greater than 85%, the applicability of this standard should be determined through on-site testing.
