Main technical content: 3. Environmental conditions of the He Tu irrigation area: 3.1 Air quality: The air quality meets the second-level standards in GB 3095. 3.2 Water quality: The water used for agricultural irrigation meets the requirements of GB 5084. 3.3 Soil quality: The soil environmental quality meets the second-level standards in GB 15618. In well-drained sandy and stony soil areas, moderate soil fertility is sufficient, and the soil pH value should be less than 8. 3.4 Climatic conditions: Annual sunlight duration of more than 3,300 hours (conducive to the accumulation of active ingredients). Frost-free period > 110 days, with an effective accumulated temperature exceeding 2,300 °C. 4. Preparation for planting: 4.1 Site selection and land preparation: Saffron prefers sunlight, is cold- and drought-resistant, and is sensitive to waterlogging (especially during the flowering period). Therefore, it should be planted in areas with a dry climate, sufficient sunlight, and well-drained sandy and stony soils. Moderate soil fertility is sufficient, and the soil pH value should be less than 8. Avoid continuous cropping. 4.1.2 Land preparation: Apply 4,000 kg/mu of composted farmyard manure as base fertilizer, plow to a depth of 30 cm, and level and harrow the soil until it is fine.
