Scope
This document specifies a method for evaluating the rebound performance of metal sheets and thin strips under plane strain tensile bending deformation. Plane strain tensile bending is a typical deformation mode of stamping parts, which can exhibit significant rebound amount. Applying this method can accurately quantify the rebound amount during tensile bending.
This document is applicable to material characterization, forming process control, mold design, and finite element program calibration of metal sheets and thin strips with rebound control requirements.
