Scope

Main Technical Content: 3.4 Climate Conditions: - Annual sunlight duration of more than 2,600 hours (over 3,300 hours in Dengkou County) - Frost-free period exceeding 120 days (136–205 days in Dengkou County) - Annual precipitation below 400 mm (150 mm in Dengkou County) are ideal planting conditions. 4. Preparatory Work: 4.1 Site Selection and Preparation: - Select flat, well-drained, loose-textured, well-lit, and sandy-loamy or yellow-clay soils with a pH value of around 7.5–8.0. Soils with a total salt content of 0.08%–0.89% are suitable, and deep plowing should reach at least 35 cm. 5. Planting Process: 5.1 Sowing Time: - Seedlings are transplanted in mid-to-late April each spring. Seedlings must grow for at least 2 years but no more than 5 years after transplantation. - Sowing method: - Seedling selection (Ural Red Glycyrrhizae from Inner Mongolia) with a one-year age, root length exceeding 30 cm, and a cross-sectional diameter of at least 0.3 cm. No disease spots, pests, or mechanical damage are allowed. - Land preparation: - Deep plowing and sun-drying the soil before planting. Apply 2,000 kg of fully composted farmyard manure or 40–60 kg of organic granular fertilizer per mu. - Transplantation method: - Use mechanized equipment for transplantation, with a row spacing of 25–30 cm, a 10 cm distance between root necks and 15–20 cm of soil covering. All seedlings in a field must be transplanted in the same direction, and drip/spray irrigation is recommended. 6. Field Management: 6.1 Weeding: - Combine mechanical and manual weeding, and prioritize early, thorough, and complete removal. 6.2 Irrigation: - Water 3–5 times in the first year, with drip irrigation adjusted based on soil moisture. Water 2–3 times in the second year and 2–3 times in the third year. 6.3 Fertilization: - Follow GB/T 19630.1 standards and use organic fertilizers and liquid organic fertilizers. 6.4 Pest and Disease Control: - The main pest
