Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the internal measurement methods for membrane-type storage tanks and independent prismatic storage tanks used for transporting frozen light hydrocarbon fluids. In addition to the actual measurement process, it also specifies the calculation procedures for preparing calibration tables and correction tables used for calculating the quantity of cargo.
1.2 For membrane-type storage tanks, the procedure of this standard is to use the scaffolding installed for installing the membrane to support the measurement equipment, while for independent prismatic storage tanks, other safe methods should be used to enter the required measurement positions.
