GB/T 24008-2024 Monetary valuation of environmental impacts and related environmental aspects
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies a methodological framework for assessing the monetary value of environmental impacts and related environmental factors. Environmental impacts include effects on human health, buildings, and the natural environment, while environmental factors include emissions and the use of natural resources. The monetary value assessment methods described in this document are also used to better understand an organization's dependence on the environment. When planning a monetary value assessment, the intended use of the results is considered, but the application of the results is beyond the scope of this document. In this document, monetary value assessment is a method of expressing value in the same unit, used for comparison and trade-off between different environmental issues and between environmental issues and other issues. The monetary value to be determined includes some or all of the value reflected in the concept of total economic value. The anthropocentric viewpoint holds that the natural environment has value because it can bring benefits (welfare) to humans. The monetary value described in this document refers to the economic value applied when making trade-offs between alternative resource allocations, rather than absolute value. This document does not include cost accounting or accounting, although some value assessment methods include the word "cost" in their names. This document does not include the development of models linking environmental factors with environmental impacts. Note: In this document, environmental impacts or environmental factors are valued in monetary terms. When assessing an organization's environmental impacts, it is important to establish a link between environmental factors and environmental impacts.
