Scope

This section specifies the terms and definitions, construction, technical requirements, fabrication, anti-corrosion measures, installation, inspection, and packaging marks of spherical guardrails for industrial platforms. This section applies to operating platforms, staircases, pedestrian walkways, maintenance catwalks, and hoist ports in industrial enterprises that pose a fall hazard. It does not apply to guardrails and other mobile equipment in residential buildings, sidewalks and roads, schools, shopping malls, sports stadiums, or large public venues.
