Scope

This standard specifies the classification, designation, order content, dimensions, shape, weight, and allowable deviations, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates of cold-rolled ferritic stainless steel sheets and strips for automotive exhaust systems.
This standard applies to cold-rolled ferritic stainless steel wide strips and their cut-rolled steel sheets with a thickness of 0.4 mm to 3.0 mm, as well as longitudinally sheared wide strips (hereinafter referred to as steel sheets and strips).
