This document specifies the classification, materials and processes, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, and labeling of molded and extruded products made from sponges and foamed rubber.
This document is applicable to the conformity assessment of non-sheet porous rubber products made from one or more natural rubber, recycled rubber, synthetic rubber, or rubber-like materials (excluding thermoplastic rubber) through molding or continuous vulcanization processes (i.e., hot air, microwave, infrared, liquid medium vulcanization (LCM), vulcanization by shearing head, or a combination of two or more of these methods).
This document is not applicable to latex foam and shoe sole rubber.
