Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, standard values of electrical parameters, mechanical structure requirements, environmental conditions, electrical requirements, accuracy requirements, use and storage, and reliability requirements for high-voltage energy meters (hereinafter referred to as "meters") used to measure high-voltage power in power networks with voltages of 6 kV to 35 kV and frequencies of 50 Hz. This standard applies to newly manufactured high-voltage energy meters and is only applicable to their type tests.
