Scope

Scope: This standard specifies the technical requirements for the selection and planning of orchards, seedling planting and grafting, soil, fertilizer, and water management, pruning and shaping, flower and fruit management, pest and disease control, and fruit harvesting for the new varieties of unknown fire, spring seen, Valencia orange, and other new varieties suitable for citrus production in Pengshan District. This standard applies to the production of "Wuyangchun.Jian" in Pengshan District; Main technical contents: 3.1 Site selection 3.1.1 Climate conditions: The average annual temperature is 16.5℃~17.5℃, the absolute minimum temperature is ≥-3.7℃, the average January temperature is ≥6.3℃, the annual accumulated temperature above 10℃ is more than 5,300℃, the annual sunshine duration is more than 930 hours, and the rainfall is ≥1,000 mm. 3.1.2 Site environmental conditions: The soil is slightly acidic or neutral, with a pH value of 5.5~7.5; it is sandy loam or loam with good texture, deep soil layer, loose and fertile, and an organic matter content of ≥1.5%. The groundwater level should be less than 1 m. It shall also comply with the provisions of NY/T 391. 3.2 Site planning Divide the orchard into small plots, and build necessary facilities such as roads, irrigation and drainage systems, and ancillary buildings. For flat land and gentle slopes with a slope of less than 6°, the planting direction should be north-south, and it is recommended to adopt a rectangular planting pattern. For mountainous and hilly areas with a slope of 6°~25°, it is advisable to build horizontal terraces during the orchard construction. The terrace width should be 4.0 m~4.5 m, and the slope ratio should be 3‰~5‰. The planting direction should be the same as the terrace direction, and it is recommended to adopt an equal-altitude planting pattern. 3.3 Rootstock selection The main rootstocks selected are red oranges, and for alkaline soils, sweet oranges are recommended.
