Scope
This document specifies a method for testing the fuel dilution content in used internal combustion engine oil using surface acoustic wave technology. This document is applicable to the determination of fuel dilution content in used internal combustion engine oil with a range of 0.1% to 10.0% (by mass). This document is applicable to the testing of fuel dilution in used automotive internal combustion engine oil, and is also applicable to the testing of fuel dilution in unused automotive internal combustion engine oil. The applicable fuel types include gasoline and diesel.
