Scope

This document specifies the requirements for blow-molded polypropylene round-bottom containers with a capacity of not more than 2 L (including 2 L) for liquid food packaging. This document also specifies the quality tolerances, dimensional tolerances, sampling methods, testing requirements, and performance requirements for blow-molded polypropylene containers used for liquid food packaging. Note: This does not imply that polypropylene is the only polymer suitable for this application, as other polymers, including high-density polyethylene (PEHD) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET), are also suitable for this purpose.
