T/SXZYC 001-2023 The quality standard of Bai Beishasheng seeds
Basic Information
Scope
Main Technical Content: (1) Scope of Application of the Standard This standard specifies the inspection procedures and grading criteria for the quality of Bupleurum chinense DC. seeds. It applies to the establishment and application of quality grading standards for Bupleurum chinense DC. seeds in the Umbelliferae family (e.g., seed production, market transactions, etc.). (2) Rationale for Standard Development In the cultivation of Bupleurum chinense, seeds are primarily used as propagation material, and the quality of seeds directly affects the yield and quality of the herbal medicine. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research and data measurement on the use of Bupleurum chinense seeds in major cultivation regions and determine quality standards for Bupleurum chinense seeds. 1. Seed Sample Collection Between October 2017 and November 2018, a total of 36 Bupleurum chinense seeds were collected, including seeds of the Zhongchai No. 2 variety from different production regions and years in Hebei and Beijing, as well as seeds sold by farmers and small shops in Changzhi, Yuncheng, Yangcheng, and Wenshi in Shanxi. 2. Test Methods 2.1 Sampling Seeds were sampled directly using the "half-cut method." The procedure was as follows: - Pour the seed sample onto a smooth surface. - Use a scraper to mix the seeds vertically and horizontally four times. - Divide the seeds into two portions, and then divide each portion into two sub-portions, yielding four sub-portions. - Divide each sub-portion into two portions, resulting in eight portions. - Combine and retain the alternating portions, and remove the remaining four portions. - Repeat the sampling process until the quality of the test sample meets the requirements. 2.2 Purity Analysis The procedure was as follows: - Weigh the total weight of the test sample and record it as M. - Check whether the test sample contains heavy impurities, such as soil clods, rocks, or large seeds mixed in
