Scope

Main Technical Content: 4.1 Selection of Storage Locations for Silage Facilities: Choose a location with high elevation, facing the sun, good drainage, and no pollution in the surrounding area. 4.2 Types of Silage Facilities: Silage can be stored using methods such as pit storage and tank storage. Select appropriate silage equipment based on the different storage methods. Common silage equipment includes crushers, filling machines, baling machines, wrapping machines, and clamping vehicles. 4.3 Requirements for Silage Facilities: Commonly used cement silage pits or silage pits should be robust, airtight, and waterproof. All corners of the pits/tanks must be curved. The bottom slope should be 1%, and a drainage well should be designed on the side of the retrieval port to remove standing water. The outer walls of the pits should be reinforced with soil. They should be easy to access and manage. 5 Preparation of Raw Materials 5.1 Harvesting of Raw Materials: Harvest rye grass during the period from budding to early flowering. 5.2 Requirements for Raw Materials 5.2.1 Quality: Raw materials should be clean, free from mold, soil, and other impurities. 5.2.2 Moisture content: The moisture content of silage raw materials should be controlled at 60% to 70%. 5.3 Shredding: Use a multifunctional crusher to shred the rye grass to 5cm to 10cm in length. 5.4 Additives: Optionally add various additives to promote lactic acid fermentation and ensure successful silage. These additives should be sprayed during shredding. See Appendix A for the additives used in goose silage and their dosages. The use of additives should comply with the "Safety Specifications for Feed Additives" and the "Catalogue of Feed Additives". 6 Silage Operation 6.1 Silage Volume: Generally, 500kg to 600kg of rye grass can be stored per cubic meter. 6.2 Filling: Promptly deliver the shredded raw materials to the silage facility and layer them while adding additives and auxiliary materia
