Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for ultra-high purity mercury, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and the contents of contracts (or purchase orders).
This standard applies to ultra-high purity mercury produced by the vacuum distillation process using mercury with a purity of 99.999% as a raw material (mainly used in the manufacture of electrical appliances, catalysts, ultraviolet lamps, semiconductor materials, etc.).
