Scope
This regulation applies to the design of energy dissipation and scour prevention for large and medium-sized watergates in the plains and coastal areas of Guangdong Province, which are newly built, reinforced, reconstructed, or expanded on soft foundations and adopt bottom-flow energy dissipation. This regulation stipulates the general principles of energy dissipation and scour prevention design for watergates on soft foundations, building grades, water level and flow rate under the gate, energy dissipation and scour prevention layout, hydraulic design, structural design, safety monitoring, and dispatching and operation design requirements.
