Scope
Scope: This document specifies the selection of varieties, environmental conditions of the nursery site, nursery facilities, substrate selection, pre-sowing preparation, seedling cultivation, grafted seedling cultivation, requirements for strong seedlings, transportation and labeling, and nursery records for the production of high-quality cucumber seedlings. This document is applicable to the nursery of cucumber seedlings. Main technical contents: 1. Terms and definitions: There are no terms or definitions needing definition in this document. 2. Variety selection: According to market demand, select high-quality, high-yielding, disease-resistant, with short cucumber stems and good skin color, and suitable for local microclimate cultivation of cucumber varieties. The seed quality shall comply with the requirements of GB 16715.1. 3. Environmental conditions of the nursery site: The site should be convenient for transportation, with flat terrain and easy irrigation and drainage. The air environmental quality shall comply with GB 3095, the irrigation water quality shall comply with GB 5084, and the soil environmental quality shall comply with GB 15618. 4. Nursery facilities 4.1 Greenhouse selection: Choose plastic greenhouses, glass greenhouses, and sunlight greenhouses with complete water and electricity facilities and certain environmental control capabilities. 4.2 Seedling bed specifications 4.2.1 Fixed and mobile seedling beds: The length, width, and height of the seedling beds shall not exceed 40 m, 1.6 m, and 1.0 m respectively. 4.2.2 Floating seedling beds: The length, width, and depth of the seedling beds shall not exceed 20 m, 1.5 m, and 0.3 m respectively. 4.3 Seedling containers: For regular cucumber seedling and grafted seedling cultivation, use 50-hole or 72-hole trays.
