Scope

This standard specifies the test principles, test methods, test steps, test results, data reporting, and conclusions for the partition coefficient of n-octanol/water of miscellaneous dangerous substances and articles in the transportation of dangerous goods.
This standard is applicable to the test method of determining the partition coefficient of n-octanol/water of pure organic compounds by slow stirring, and is suitable for determining the POW value of compounds with a log POW value between 5 and 8.2.
