Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, symbols and codes, performance characteristics, models and specifications, technical requirements, test methods, acceptance rules, packaging, transportation, and storage of overhead insulated cables with a rated AC voltage of 10 kV and steel-core aluminum stranded wires. This standard applies to overhead insulated cables with a rated AC voltage U (Um) of 10 (12) kV, which are used in overhead power lines and are insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE).
