Scope

This standard specifies the test method for determining the color fastness of wool or wool-containing textiles to soap flakes and sodium carbonate solution (heavy shrinkage) or soap flakes solution (light shrinkage) during the alkali shrinkage process.
The light shrinkage process can be used for light and medium-thick wool or wool-containing garment fabrics.
