Scope

The subject of this guidance technical document is the water level control of steam boilers in fossil fuel steam power stations with either natural or forced circulation.
This guidance technical document first describes the controlled system, its structure and design, steady-state characteristics, transient process characteristics, and disturbance characteristics. It then introduces the necessary control structures, followed by three proven control loop configurations and their respective application sites.
