Scope

Main technical content: 6.1 Site Conditions The soil type is yellow loam and red loam, with a pH value of 5.5–7.5. The soil layer thickness is ≥50 cm, and the soil organic matter content is ≥1.0%. The slope is ≤25, and the groundwater level is ≤1.5 m. 6.2 Cultivation Management 6.2.1 Seedling Propagation Use ginkgo seedlings grown from 3- to 5-year-old wild ginkgo trees in the production area as rootstock for grafting. 6.2.2 Planting 6.2.2.1 Planting time: Mid-December to mid-March of the following year. 6.2.2.2 Planting density: 83 to 111 seedlings per 667 m2, with a 1% ratio of pollinating male trees. 6.2.3 Fertilization Apply 20–50 kg of composted organic fertilizer per adult tree annually. 6.2.4 Pollination Natural pollination or assisted pollination. 6.2.5 Pesticide and Fertilizer Use and Planting Environment Requirements Use pesticides with high efficiency and low residue, and fertilizers that meet relevant standards. The planting conditions must meet the requirements of 6.1. The site must not be located near polluted environments. 6.3 Harvesting Harvest between mid-September and early October when the outer seed coat turns from green to yellow or orange-yellow and starts to fall off naturally in small quantities. 6.4 Seed Processing After harvest, pile and soak the seeds for one week, remove the outer seed coat, wash them, dry in the shade, and store in bags or cold storage. 7. Quality Requirements 7.1 Sensory Requirements The seed shell should be milky white and glossy. After maturation, the seed kernel should have a fine texture, be chewy and sticky, and have a sweet, slightly bitter taste.
