Scope

This standard specifies the principles, equipment and materials, analytical procedures, result calculation, recovery rate and precision, and allowable deviations for the qualitative and quantitative detection of matrine, paeoniflorin, ligustrazine, and ligustrazine A in cosmetics by high-performance liquid chromatography.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of matrine, paeoniflorin, ligustrazine, and ligustrazine A in water solutions, emulsions, and ointments.
The detection limit for matrine in this standard is 15 mg/kg, and the quantitative limit is 45 mg/kg; the detection limit for paeoniflorin is 3 mg/kg, and the quantitative limit is 8 mg/kg; the detection limit for ligustrazine and ligustrazine A is 20 mg/kg, and the quantitative limit is 60 mg/kg.
