Scope

This standard specifies the principles, reagents and materials, instrumentation, determination steps, result calculation, recovery rate and precision, and allowable deviations of the high-performance liquid chromatography-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry method for the determination of thiomersal and phenylmercury in cosmetics.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of thiomersal and phenylmercury in ointments, creams, and emulsions.
