Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection methods, marking and packaging of electronic digital micrometers and depth micrometers. This standard applies to electronic digital micrometers and depth micrometers with a resolution higher than or equal to 0.001mm and a measuring range less than or equal to 30mm. For electronic digital micrometers and depth micrometers with a measuring range of 50mm, please refer to Appendix A.
