Scope

This document provides a comparison of the mechanical and physical performance requirements of ISO 8124-1:2018, EN 71-1:2014+A1:2018, and ASTM F963-17.
Unless otherwise specified, the version numbers of the ISO 8124-1, EN 71-1, and ASTM F963 standards in this document are all the version numbers given above.
This document is applicable to toy manufacturers and institutions that assess whether toys comply with safety standards.
For the convenience of users, Appendix A provides an index table based on the requirements of EN 71-1, and Appendix B provides an index table based on the requirements of ASTM F963-17.
