GB 25722-2010 Lighters—Safety and quality

Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for lighters to ensure a reasonable level of safety for users during normal use or in foreseeable misuse situations.
This standard applies to all known consumer-used cigarette lighters, cigar lighters, and pipe lighters.
This standard does not apply to matches and other ignition devices used to ignite substances other than cigarettes, cigars, or pipes.
As a tool for generating flames, lighters, like other flame sources, pose potential hazards to users. This standard cannot eliminate all hazards, but it attempts to minimize the potential hazards to users as much as possible.
