Scope

Scope: This document specifies the environmental requirements, production management, harvesting and processing, and production file management for simulated wild-cultivated Bupleurum chinense. This document applies to the production of simulated wild-cultivated Bupleurum chinense; Main technical content: Through simulated wild cultivation techniques, we aim to address current challenges in Bupleurum chinense production, including poor drug quality, endangered resources, and ecological degradation, and achieve the organic integration of ecological protection, resource regeneration, comprehensive utilization, and traditional Chinese medicine production. Under normal conditions, simulated wild Bupleurum chinense does not require special management. However, attention should be paid to avoiding waterlogging during the rainy season to prevent root rot. For mountainous areas, the depth of pit planting should not be too deep to avoid waterlogging. Implementing the principle of "prevention-first, combined with simulated wild cultivation", selecting disease-resistant varieties or wild Bupleurum chinense germplasm, and strengthening simulated wild management to control pests and diseases within acceptable limits without artificial intervention. Habitat requirements: Select loose, fertile, and well-drained sandy loam soil; the thickness of the soil layer in the simulated wild area should be at least 15cm to ensure normal root growth of Bupleurum chinense; mountains with altitudes of 200-600m and slopes of less than 70°; environments where species such as Carex, Cryptocaryum, and Setaria grow well. Production management: Seed quality should meet the T/SAIA 002 standard of Class III or higher; sowing should be carried out before the local rainy season and when shaded plants are lush, when the surface temperature of the soil is stable above 10°C or the soil thaws to a depth of about 10cm.
