Scope

This standard specifies the high-performance liquid chromatography method for determining vitamin B6 (pyridoxine, pyridoxine hydrochloride, pyridoxine fatty acid ester, and pyridoxal 5'-phosphate) in cosmetics. This standard is applicable to the determination of pyridoxine, pyridoxine hydrochloride, pyridoxine fatty acid ester, and pyridoxal 5'-phosphate in cosmetics such as creams, emulsions, and liquids. The detection limit of this standard method is: pyridoxal 1.0 mg/kg, pyridoxine 0.3 mg/kg, and the quantification limit is: pyridoxal 2.5 mg/kg, pyridoxine 1.2 mg/kg.
