Scope
This standard specifies the evaluation of the hydrogen absorption amount in metals based on the measurement results of the steady-state diffusion flux of hydrogen in metals, as well as the determination of the effective diffusion coefficient of hydrogen atoms in metals and the identification of methods for reversible and irreversible trapping of hydrogen in metals.
This standard is applicable to all metals with measurable hydrogen permeation, and is used to compare the hydrogen absorption capacity of metals exposed to different environments.
