Scope

Scope: This document specifies the technical requirements for the annualized production of Volvariella volvacea using mushroom spawn residue as the cultivation substrate, including the site environment, cultivation facilities, spawn residue substrate and other input materials, production management, pest and disease control, and production file management. This document is applicable to the annualized production of Volvariella volvacea using mushroom spawn residue. Main technical contents: 4. Site environment: The production site should be clean and hygienic, with a flat terrain and convenient irrigation and drainage. The site environment shall comply with the provisions of NY/T 391. 5. Cultivation facilities: It is recommended to use enclosed mushroom houses with year-round temperature control, humidity maintenance, and ventilation capabilities. The mushroom houses should be equipped with multi-layer stainless steel cultivation beds, with a general layer spacing of 50–55 cm and a bed width of 1.2–1.5 m. The temperature is regulated by an air conditioning system or a ground-source heat pump integrated machine; the ventilation system uses external fresh air fans with ducts and vents, with air entering from one side of the mushroom house and exiting from the other side; humidity control is achieved through a micro-spray irrigation system; and lighting is provided by LED strips. 6. Production inputs 6.1 Spawn residue 6.1.1 Type: It is recommended to use spawn residue produced from the factory-scale cultivation of Agrocybe aegerita and Pleurotus eryngii. 6.1.2 Quality requirements: The spawn residue should be fresh, free from pollution, odor, mold, and pests. The moisture content should be 30–45%, and the particle size after crushing should be 0.3–1.2 cm.
