This standard applies to the geographical indication product Huining Alfalfa (approved by the former Administration for Industry and Commerce of the People's Republic of China Trademark Office with registration number 39762104 according to the provisions of the Trademark Law of the People's Republic of China and other laws and regulations, and announced by the Huining County People's Government in Document No. 31 [2017]) Main technical contents: Environmental characteristics: Huining County is located in the central part of Gansu Province, at the southern end of Baiyin City. The terrain slopes from southeast to northwest, with rolling hills and valleys. It belongs to a semi-arid climate in the temperate zone. The average annual temperature is 9.2℃, with a frost-free period of 154 days. The average annual sunshine duration is 2,630 hours. The average annual precipitation is 267.1 mm. The soil has good drainage and a soil layer depth of more than 0.9m. Planting should be carried out in accordance with the provisions of NY/T 2703.
