Scope
This standard applies to rod-shaped porcelain insulators (hereinafter referred to as insulators) used in overhead power lines of AC electrified railways with a nominal voltage of 25 kV and a single-phase power frequency. This standard applies to insulators used for supporting contact arms in light pollution areas, heavy pollution areas, and high-altitude areas. This standard specifies the electrical, mechanical, and dimensional characteristics of insulators (see Table 1). This standard also stipulates the model and marking methods of insulators.
