Basic Information
Scope
Scope: This document specifies the growing environment, cultivation techniques, disease prevention and control, harvesting, and production records for Cuminum copticum cultivation in Yunnan Province. This document is applicable to the cultivation and production of Cuminum copticum in Yunnan Province. Main technical content: 1. Growing environment 1.1 Suitable regions: It is suitable for cultivation in most areas of Yunnan Province, with the optimum growth temperature being 25°C to 30°C. 1.2 Site selection: The growing environment should meet the requirements of NY/T 391. It is recommended to use loamy or sandy loam soils with deep, loose, and fertile layers, good water and nutrient retention, and avoid continuous cropping. 2. Cultivation techniques 2.1 Soil preparation and fertilization: Combine soil preparation with sufficient base fertilization. Apply 1,500 kg to 2,000 kg of composted organic fertilizer and 40 kg of compound fertilizer (N:P:K=15:15:15) per 667 m2 of land. Deeply cultivate and level the soil, with a width of 1.0 m to 1.2 m and a height of 20 cm to 25 cm, and a width of 30 cm to 35 cm for the ditch. 2.2 Sowing 2.2.1 Seed selection: Choose seeds with full grains, good luster, and no disease or pest spots. 2.2.2 Sowing season: In central Yunnan, sowing is conducted in mid-to-late March; in southern Yunnan, sowing is conducted in mid-to-late August. 2.2.2.1 Broadcast sowing: The seeding rate is 120 g/667 m2 to 150 g/667 m2. Mix the seeds with 5 kg of ash and spread them evenly on the soil surface in three to four batches. After sowing, cover the seeds with sieved dry manure or humus soil, about 1 cm to 1.5 cm thick. Tamp the soil surface with a wooden board to ensure full contact between the seeds and the soil, and cover the soil surface with straw or mats. Water thoroughly with a sprayer. 2.2.2.2 Row sowing: The seeding rate is 100 g/667 m2 to 120 g/667 m2. Open sowing ditches on the soil surface, with a distance of about 20 cm between rows, a depth o
