Scope

This standard specifies the designation method, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, anti-rust measures, and packaging for needle roller bearings and cage assemblies used to support connecting rods and piston pins in motorcycle engines (hereinafter referred to as "assemblies").
This standard applies to assemblies used to support connecting rods in motorcycles, as well as to the production, inspection, and acceptance of assemblies used to support connecting rods in air compressors and other crank-connecting rod mechanisms. This standard does not apply to assemblies used to support connecting rods in special-purpose motorcycles (such as racing motorcycles and off-road motorcycles).
