This document specifies the requirements for the qualification and evaluation of personnel who use infrared thermal imaging cameras for machine condition monitoring and diagnosis. Certificates or statements that comply with this document provide the qualifications and capabilities of personnel who use portable thermal imaging equipment for machine condition monitoring, thermal imaging measurement, and analysis. This document does not apply to specialized equipment or other special circumstances. This document stipulates that the qualifications of practitioners in the field of thermal imaging technology are divided into three levels.
