Scope
Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, packaging, storage, transportation, and shelf life of licorice. This standard applies to the production, sale, and inspection of licorice; Main technical content: The root is cylindrical, with a length of 25–100 cm and a diameter of 0.6–3.5 cm. The outer skin is loose and tight in varying degrees. The surface is reddish-brown or gray-brown, with prominent longitudinal wrinkles, grooves, lenticels, and sparse fine root marks. The quality is firm, and the cross-section is slightly fibrous, yellowish-white, and powdery, with a clear cambium ring and radial rays. Some have cracks. The root stem is cylindrical, with bud marks on the surface, and a pith in the middle of the cross-section. It has a faint odor and a sweet, distinctive taste.
