Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the specific activity of radionuclides in the primary coolant, steam generator feedwater, and steam during the operation of a pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant, as well as the method for determining the source term of liquid and gaseous effluents. The source term calculated by this standard is applicable to evaluating the annual average emission of radionuclides released into the environment through liquid and gaseous effluents. The data used in this standard are based on pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants using zirconium-clad uranium dioxide fuel. This standard is only applicable to pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants that use U-tube steam generators.
