Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions for the identification of disease resistance to sugarcane rust, material preparation, pathogen collection, preparation of inoculum, inoculation, disease investigation, and resistance evaluation. This standard is applicable to germplasm resources of the genus Saccharum and its closely related genera, as well as interspecific hybrids of the genus Saccharum, for the identification and evaluation of their resistance to sugarcane rust through artificial inoculation.
