Scope

This document describes the principles, reagents and materials, instrumentation, experimental procedures, data processing, recovery rates, and precision of the liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method for determining the presence of prohibited substances such as colchicine and its derivative colchicine amide in cosmetics. This document is applicable to the determination of colchicine and its derivative colchicine amide in water-based, emulsion, ointment, gel, wax-based, and powder-based cosmetics. The method's detection and quantification limits in this document are: the detection limit for colchicine and colchicine amide is both 5.0 μg/kg, and the quantification limit is both 10.0 μg/kg.
