Scope

This document specifies the system design, system installation, and engineering acceptance of heat pump hot water systems for commercial or industrial use and similar applications.
This document is applicable to heat pump hot water systems that are driven by motors, use a vapor compression refrigeration cycle, have a nominal heating capacity of more than 3,000 W, and use air or water as heat sources for the purpose of providing domestic hot water. The design, installation, and acceptance of heat pump hot water heating systems and heat pump hot water systems for other purposes can refer to this document.
