Scope
This standard specifies the characteristics of A6-sized transparent microfilm produced by source documents and COM systems, in order to ensure the exchange of information and the distribution of microfilm products. This standard applies to microfilm with uniformly arranged frames of 49, 98, 270, and 420, as well as microfilm with single frames. Depending on the needs of use, the images on the microfilm can be either positive or negative. The characteristics of microfilm with uniformly arranged frames of 30, 60, 63, 84, 208, 210, and 325 are described in the appendix, as are the characteristics of specialized microfilm with non-uniformly arranged frames of 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, and 64.
