Scope

This standard specifies the common indications of 360 acupoints among the 362 acupoints defined in GB/T 12346—2006 "Acupoint Names and Locations" and 23 out of the 48 extra-meridian acupoints. The acupoint indications specified in this standard are the basic indications, which do not include the treatment of diseases based on special acupuncture methods or special operations.
This standard is applicable to the medical, teaching, and scientific research of acupuncture acupoints.
