Scope

This standard specifies the structural type, basic parameters, and main dimensions of the cross-axle universal joints (hereinafter referred to as universal joints) used in the main drive systems of cold rolling mills. It also covers product marking, technical requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage. This standard applies to universal joints used to connect the gearbox or motor output shaft with the main drive shafts of cold rolling mills and leveling mill rolls. The nominal torque transmitted is 60 kN·m to 1,150 kN·m, with a rotating diameter of 225 mm to 550 mm, a maximum axial deflection of 5°, no telescopic structure, and an operating temperature range of -20°C to +80°C.
